Company files for DFW11 and 12 at 480MW campus US data center firm DataBank has filed to develop two more buildings at its upcoming campus in Dallas, Texas. The US colo firm has filed two applications with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, for DFW11 and DFW12, at its campus in Red Oak. Located along Stainback Road in Ellis County, the projects will see the construction of two two-story data centers, each totaling 425,170 sq ft (39,500 sqm). The company aims to invest $325 million in each facility. Construction work on DFW11 is set to run from December 2025 to January 2028, while work on DFW12 will run from November 2026 to November 2028. JHET Architects is involved in both projects. DataBank announced plans for a new campus in Red Oak in September 2024. Set on 292 acres, the 480MW site can accommodate up to eight two-story facilities at full build-out, each spanning 425,000 sq ft (40,000 sqm). The first phase will feature four buildings and a 400MW substation from Oncor, capable of delivering up to 240MW of critical IT power. Completion of the first phase is expected in Q2 2026. The company filed to develop DFW9 at the Red Oak campus in June 2024. The facility will span more than 425,000 sq ft (40,000 sqm), with construction set to begin in September and scheduled for completion in Q1 2027. In November, DataBank filed to develop a second building, DFW10, at the site. Construction on the two-story data center totaling 425,170 sq ft (39,500 sqm) is set to run from February 2025 to August 2028. Google and Compass both have a presence in the Red Oak area. DataBank has a large presence in Dallas, including its headquarters DFW1, and six other data centers in the Dallas metropolitan area. Its total footprint comprises more than 84 data centers across 37 markets in two countries.
